A Conversation with the High Commissioner of India, H.E. Miss Muanpuii Saiawi

Her Excellency Miss Muanpuii Saiawi, High Commissioner of India to New Zealand, discusses bilateral aspects of geopolitics, foreign policy, and trade between India and New Zealand, and their regional and international impacts.

Ms Saiawi is a 2005 batch Indian Foreign Service officer with postings in Republic of Korea, Japan, and Israel. In the Ministry of External Affairs, she has held roles in disarmament, international security, cyber diplomacy, and new technologies. From 2022 to 2026, she served as Joint Secretary for Disarmament and International Security Affairs, overseeing global security, export controls, maritime security, and India's space and atomic energy partnerships.
