Delirious New Lynn: The walking tour with Oscar Mardell

Oscar Mardell, author of Delirious New Lynn; or, Portage and Euphoria; or, The Carryover, leads a guided walking tour through New Lynn riffing on his eccentric guidebook. The tour visits sites including the library, the Brick Maker's Memorial, and the gatepost on the corner of Clark Street and Rankin Avenue, with Mardell offering his distinctive and often humorous observations on the suburb's overlooked character.

Mardell is a writer and educator based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. The tour meets outside New Lynn train station at 10:30am on Saturday 14 November.
